Mapping Birmingham: 1914-2014

We asked local schoolchildren, students and residents to describe, photograph and capture life in Birmingham and surrounding area in 2014, as a counterpart to our maps of Birmingham during the First World War. Our map display will be free to view from 21 July to 31 August in BBC Birmingham’s Public Space in the Mailbox, but to see all of the photographs, videos and written pieces submitted for our 2014 maps, simply scroll down this page. Click on any of the images to go to our Flickr account and find out who took the photograph.
